I went to the toronto comic dealy last saturday, it was cool to meet some of my comic heroes. It is okay if I embarassed myself, it is okay.
I forgot to say about my bike being all fixed. It has been fixed for a while.
I watched "Pan's Labyrinth" and I thought it was too disgusting.
I am reading Wheel of Time again, on book 11 in the series. Then I will read them all over again before the new one comes out.
I'm glad Harry Potter finished, it was good except the epilogue.
Ummm I think I got a twenty five cent raise or something? Probably because the government made them do it.
Plant status: My plants are OK. The ones outside get all sticky so I think I will move them to inside. The violet is making a come back, but no flowers are to be seen. I tried painting my calanchoe (I don't know how to spell it) but it was far too advanced of a subject. I need to start with fruit or a white cup or something else that is at my level (perhaps a plain wall?)
OK I am playing Zelda again.
Yep failure at life is still quite imminent.

6:44 pm - The post office lady
|
OK I have to write about this horrible lady that was at the post office today. She was just so rude and it angers me because this was the second incident of a rude crazy lady in three days.
So I left my house this morning on my bicycle with the intent of mailing this package before work. I was running a bit late but I thought it would be fine if there was no line at the post office. When I got there, there was a small line, but I decided to wait anyway. So a lady with a cane kind of walked in front because she was going to pick something off the rack (which is located ahead of the line) but then she walked in front of me to stand in line. In my head I thought, "Is this one of those times where I should stand up for myself or is it one of those times where I be patient and kind?" I decided to be patient and kind. Because really, I am not so much of a big shot that I need to be ahead of this one lady.
So I wait for about 30 seconds (always it seems longer when you are standing in a line), and this other lady comes up behind me sighing. After about another 30 seconds (honestly it was) she starts muttering, "there is three people behind that desk and they are going THIS SLOW," sighing some more. I wish I said to her, "You know what? They are doing the best they can and if it is not fast enough for you maybe you should go somewhere else." But I wouldn't just say that at a stranger, I don't know her circumstances or anything. So then she asked if she can go in front of me, and I said, "No, I'm going to be late for work." She then proceeded to tell me how she just needs to buy one stamp and that she has a baby in the car and that it is just one stamp. I told her how I already let someone ahead of me. She then muttered, "fucking people these days". Oh how I wish I stood up for myself then! This is what I would have done. I would have turned around and said, "Excuse me, do we know each other? Oh we don't. So what makes you think your time is much more valuable than mine? You need to get over yourself." Or something like that. But I said nothing so that I would not stoop to her level of rudeness!
On my way out of the parking lot, and across the street, there she was in her minivan driving across along me. In the passenger seat by the way so she didn't have a baby in the car alone. She yelled out to me "I hope you aren't late for work," in a sarcastic and smug tone. I know I should not have yelled back a rude comment but I just know that I would regret it for the rest of the week if I didn't, and I had already held my tongue so many times that morning. I just told her to suck a dick and deuced her as I rode by.
What makes me so angry about things like this is that people like me will be thinking about it all day, and be angered by it and let it ruin our day. We will play the situation in our heads over and over wishing we said this and that instead of nothing. Rude people like her (and the lady from Sunday, but that is a story for another day) would not think of it again.

1:47 pm - It is Spring time
|
Spring is here! The birds sing, the animals walk around. The flowers start to bloom! The jackhammers gently awaken the sleeping people and serenade them throughout the day. The weather gets warmer and so many people wear less clothing. Half of the disgusting people realize that they are disgusting and no one wants to see that. You can feel the breeze of the wind trying to be cold a little bit still. The young people that were in school are finishing up and going home, while the rest just think about how they have been a disappointment to their loved ones for another year. The high school kids begin to drop off resumes at every job that will take them. Back home spring would mean the tourism surge and the city filling with people, but here it is the opposite. Everyone leaves and goes to.. Niagara Falls I guess? Probably better places with their money. Mother's day, Father's day. Summer is like right there. The snow is gone and so last fall's dog droppings make their appearance all over the sidewalks. The odour of barbecued flesh fills the air mixed with the smell of lawnmower grass. Soon there will be sprinklers and waterwings and sweat and sunburns. Kaloo kalay it is spring.

| What American accent do you have? Your Result: North Central "North Central" is what professional linguists call the Minnesota accent. If you saw "Fargo" you probably didn't think the characters sounded very out of the ordinary. Outsiders probably mistake you for a Canadian a lot. | | Boston | | | The West | | | The Midland | | | The Inland North | | | Philadelphia | | | The Northeast | | | The South | | What American accent do you have? 2:07 am - I'll get used to it
|
It was all fine and then the lady put poofy weird things on top but I managed to fix it! She had skills, and was Philipeno (spelll) and fancied herself an artist, but I am just not into poof. I shall miss the long hair, but not the tangles. It will be back in a year!

When I put the online art show up, people are probably going to think my prices are insane. Let me just say now (so I do not have to explain later) that if they were any higher, people here would not buy them. That is honest and true. So do not ask!
This is all moot if I decide to up the internet prices though haha!
